A PowerGrade is a color grading system built specifically for DaVinci Resolve. Instead of applying a single color transformation, it uses a node structure that lets you fully adjust exposure, contrast, color and more while maintaining a consistent cinematic look. A LUT applies a fixed color transformation to your footage. While LUTs work in most editing software, they offer far less flexibility and can easily break when applied to different cameras or lighting conditions.

CineBase is designed to work with any camera. For the best results, use the dedicated PowerGrade for your camera profile. You'll find camera profiles for Sony S-Log3, Canon C-Log3, Panasonic/ Lumix V-Log, Fujifilm F-Log2, RED Log3G10, Nikon N-Log, Blackmagic Gen 5 (BRAW), Apple Log 2, DJI D-Log and D-Log M, making it easy to achieve a consistent cinematic look across different cameras.

CineBase is designed to work in DaVinci Wide Gamut / DaVinci Intermediate, which provides a large color space and maximum flexibility when grading. A Color Space Transform (CST) Node to convert your LOG footage to DWG is set up in the CineBase PowerGrade. Simply make sure you choose the correct PowerGrade for your camera profile.
